How This Cocaine Oral Fluid Test Works

This instant saliva drug test for cocaine uses lateral flow immunoassay technology (ALLTEST®) to screen oral fluid samples. Simply collect saliva with the sterile swab, place into the cassette with the provided tube, and read the results within minutes.

The test detects the presence of cocaine and its primary metabolite, benzoylecgonine, in oral fluid at a 20ng/ml cutoff level. Benzoylecgonine is the main breakdown product of cocaine and is widely recognized as the most reliable marker for recent cocaine use.

The test has been carefully evaluated for cross-reactivity. It is designed to specifically detect cocaine and benzoylecgonine, and it shows no significant reactivity with common over-the-counter medications or unrelated drugs. This makes false positives from typical prescription or non-prescription medicines highly unlikely. Only substances that are structurally or chemically similar to cocaine may cause interference, and these are not found in standard medical treatments.

Common NHS/dental medications such as antibiotics, painkillers (ibuprofen, paracetamol, codeine in dental practice), local anaesthetics (lidocaine), or standard sedation drugs  do not cross-react with cocaine saliva assays at the 20 ng/ml cutoff.

Easy-to-use cocaine test kit – no lab equipment needed
Non-invasive oral fluid collection – no urine required
Discreet and convenient – suitable for at-home, workplace, or professional use
