Xanax abuse is a growing problem, especially among school age children and young adults where it is rapidly becoming the go to relief tab for anxiety and stress.
Xanax or Aprazolam is a benzodiazepine sedative tranquilliser with a relative half live of just over 11 hours. The clearance is slowed by other medicines, notably the contraceptive pill in young women.
Aprazolam should be detectable using a Benzodiazepine drug test membrane for between 3 and 7 days. No differentiation can be made using an on-site screen, but a laboratory GC/MS will report on the benzodiazepine causing the positive instant test result.
Benzodiazepine tests are included in many of our combination multi-panel and cup drug tests, and are also included in the larger saliva drug test kit combination.
